RESILIENCE: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope

Resilience Event 2022

About 100 guests in the Mindfulness community participated in a screening of the award-winning documentary on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their effects on the physical and mental health of children and youth on March 12th, 2022 at Coral Gables United Church of Christ.

The film was followed by a panel discussion about ACEs across the lifespan and how mindfulness-based programs support healthier children, adults, and communities.

  • Valerie York-ZimmermanValerie York-Zimmerman, CFM UMass Certified MBSR Teacher, Founder of Miami Mindfulness and Mindful Kids Miami, and a Founding Member of South Florida Mindful Communities
